There are various mission pathways on these planets. Each character in the game is represented by a planet in the game’s galaxy. The Galaxy Mode replaces the normal story mode from prior Dragon Ball fighting games. The combat includes a tactic called Raging Soul, in which players are barred from using ki attacks, but their physical strikes become stronger. The player assumes one of the available characters as they battle another character from the franchise using different basic, melée, or distinctive ki combat tactics. Raging Blast 2 employs 3-D gaming techniques, with the camera shifting between over-the-shoulder and overhead viewpoints at key points. While the game was the second best-selling in Japan in November of its release year, it received criticism for its gameplay, controls, repetitious AI, and lack of a genuine story mode. The game includes a fresh recreation of the Dragon Ball Z Side Story: Plan to Eradicate the Saiyans OVA from 1993, now titled Dragon Ball: Plan to Eradicate the Super Saiyans. The game is a 3D fighter that allows players to play as characters from the Dragon Ball universe against the game’s AI or another player in one of the many modes of play available both online and offline.
